Academy member Paul Denny demonstrates Peerwise to southern tertiary teachers
Last week Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence member Paul Denny ran two workshops in Dunedin to demonstrate his PeerWise tool - an assessment tool based around student-created questions.
Paul, a senior tutor in computer science at the University of Auckland, developed the PeerWise tool to support student learning. It allows students to create, share, critique and answer multiple-choice questions about their course/s, in a web-based environment.
It is now regularly used across a range of departments at The University of Auckland, and at more than 10 institutions around the world.
