Improving Student Engagement in Post-School Settings: an Annotated Bibliography

All 90 items in this bibliography are annotated using a standard template that includes an abstract, the type of research, key themes, country of origin, research methodology, scale of project, and evaluative comments.

The project identified four primary content strands -

  1. student motivation and dispositions to engage with learning;
  2. engagement facilitated by transactions between students, teaching and support structures within institutions;
  3. work investigating effects of institutional support on engagement;
  4. engagement that was influenced by social and demographic changes.
