The Pacific Peoples’ Projects funding stream is designed to support major research and implementation projects to enhance the educational outcomes of Pacific learners. The typical level of funding for each project will be approximately $100k (ranging from ~$50k-$150k) GST inclusive.
Pacific Peoples’ Projects will no longer be allocated through a contestable process. Instead, the Ako Aotearoa Pacific Caucus has decided that one project will be commissioned through the Association of Pacifika Staff in Tertiary Education (APSTE), and we are also exploring involvement in a Pacific Leadership in Tertiary Education Initiative with the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs and the State Services Sector.
