Registering on Ako Aotearoa’s website
You do not need to register on the site to browse most of the content, including all the information about Ako Aotearoa, the material in the Resource Centre, and the ‘public’ content under Projects and Communities. However, if you want to interact with the site, including joining a community or submitting content, then you need to register on the site.
How to register on the website
To register on the site, click on Create new account (top-right of screen).
This will bring up a form where you need to:
- enter a Username (this will appear next to content you create)
- enter a valid email address (this won't be shown to other users)
- enter your First Name and Last Name
- accept our Terms and Conditions
Once you've entered this information, click Create New Account at the bottom of the screen.
You will then receive an email that that contains a link back to our website to confirm your registration. Once you have used this to log on to the site, you can change your password and enter other details about yourself. You can choose when you choose to show your details to other users or not.
Forgotten your username or password?
If you forget your username or password, use the Request New Password link. Simply enter your username or e-mail address and you will be sent an email with your username and a temporary password.
Why Register on the site?
We encourage you to register on the website to:
- join project or community groups
- receive our monthly Website Bulletin highlighting the latest content on the site
- create a profile page for yourself
- set up email alerts for content you are interested in
- bookmark your favourite pages and groups
- make additions or changes to our Research Register
- provide us with your comments and feedback on our work
- receive our hard copy Ako Aotearoa Alert newsletter.
