RSS feeds
This page contains information about RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds - what they are and how they can be used on this site.

Using RSS feeds is a very good way to keep up to date with what's new on the Ako Aotearoa website. They will inform you each time new content is added, so you don't need to remember to check for anything new.
On the Ako Aotearoa website RSS feeds are available for:
- the Ako Aotearoa space
- each of the Ako Aotearoa regional hub spaces - Northern Hub | Central Hub | Southern Hub
- each Project space
- each Community space
- each Topic and each Discipline in our Resource Centre
The feeds are available by clicking on the RSS button
to the right of the "What's New in ..." section (NB - you might have to scroll down the page to see this section in some instances)
NB - the RSS feeds will only provide information on content that has been published (i.e. viewable by everyone on the site).
To access these feeds (plus others you might set up from news websites, blogs, etc) you will need to use a 'feed reader' or 'aggregator'. Commonly used ones are Bloglines, or Google Reader.
For more information about RSS and how to use it (including setting up a 'feed reader'/'aggregator'), watch this short video clip - (under 4 minutes) -
Or visit the RSS page from the JISC Web2Practice site for another short video and more explantory material.
