Researching Higher Education - A Symposium

HERDSA invites you to a weekend symposium on conducting research in higher education. The programme brings together experienced and new HE researchers to offer a mix of plenary sessions and practical workshops.

Saturday 11th (all day) & Sunday 12th September (morning)

  • Diverse paradigms for HE research
  • Looking back at the record of HE research in NZ: What can we learn from this?

Workshop topics:

  • A framework for conceptualising a new research project
  • Analysing qualitative data
  • Mixed methods in educational research
  • Interviewing: Process, techniques and analysis
  • Publishing in HE journals
  • Tertiary education research and the Human Ethics Committee
