Moodle is a free open source e-Learning software platform and is used to create and resource online courses. It is widely used in tertiary education.

Ako Aotearoa is pleased to announce that in conjunction with McGirr Training we will be offering a free introductory two-part professional development interactive seminar to PTE teachers in the Wellington region.

If your organisation has the software and you want to know how to use it then the seminar will be very useful. It will also be worthwhile if you are contemplating the introduction of online learning in your courses.

Kevin BrennanThe facilitator is Kevin Brennan, e-Learning Advisor at UCOL in Palmerston North. Kevin is a recognised online learning teacher with a long involvement in vocational education and teacher training.

Session One will introduce “The Basics of Moodle” and “How to Customise Moodle Pages”.
Session Two will focus on “Uploading Content”, “Quiz Functions” and “Discussion Forums”

The workshops will run on Friday 22nd of July and Friday 29th of July between 10.00am and 2.30pm with lunch provided.

The venue is McGirr Training, Level 2, 126 Lambton Quay, Wellington.
