Central Region Instructional Designers

Welcome to the Central Region Instructional Designers online space. This group was born out of a shared desire amongst people working in an ID type role (some of us are have different job titles) for a professional development community. Given the specific nature of the work, the focus is on those working in educational and government organisations. It is recognised, however, that there are fundamental skills required by all Instructional Designers in any sector and that there is crossover with the private and not-for-profit sector. For this reason, this online group is an open one and anyone is welcome to contribute.
The group was established on the 15nth August 2011 at the Open Polytechnic NZ in Lower Hutt, Wellington. The Central Region Instructional Design group has been established for the purpose of:
- networking and collaborating
- sharing ideas and resources
- building recognition of the ID role
- shared practice and peer evaluation
- the development of a common ontology
