Māori learners in the workplace setting

Project Description

Industry Training is an important location for Māori tertiary learners, with over 30,000 trainees identifying as Māori each year. Despite this there has been little systematic exploration of the experiences of Māori in industry training. This project examines the experiences of Māori workplace learners in industry training organisations across three trade settings: building and construction, the motor industry, and electro technology. It will lead to practical recommendations concerning how industry training organisations can better meet the needs of Māori workplace learners.
