Regional Hub Project Fund (RHPF) on hold

Regional hub funding bannerFor the first half of 2012, no new projects will be funded through the RHPF.

As part of the process of developing a new business model for Ako Aotearoa, considerable work has been done to evaluate the impact of projects funded by the regional hubs.

The results of this work are very promising. More than 50% of evaluated projects have lead to changes in teaching practice. Overall, two-thirds of the projects were identified as having the potential to provide direct benefit to learners.

As a result, Ako Aotearoa has decided to focus, during the first half of 2012, on working with the project teams to maximise learner benefit. The RHPF will be re-launched in the second half of 2012 as part of the new Ako Aotearoa business model.
