Recent items in Literacy Alliance

The Literacy Alliance is pleased to be able to welcome a new member to the group - the New Zealand Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (NZ ITP). James Buwalda (NZ ITP) will be the key representative to the Literacy Alliance.

This document is the final report of the Literacy Alliance to December 2010, under the National Project Fund from Ako Aotearoa. The Literacy Alliance is grateful to Ako Aotearoa for financial support.

Dr Nicky Murray, member of the Literacy Alliance and Project Manager Literacy and Learning at the Industry Training Federation, recently gave a presentation on the Literacy Alliance at the Australian Coucil for Adult Literacy 33rd Annual Conference in Darwin, 10-11th September 2010.

Sir Wira Gardiner, Chairman of the Tertiary Education Commission, gave the keynote speech at the Parliamentary Breakfast hosted by the Literacy Alliance at Parliament on 8 September 2010 for World Literacy Day.
