Understanding and Supporting Organisational Change in e-Learning

Project Description

The project will apply the e-learning Maturity Model (eMM) and monitor institutional change in four New Zealand tertiary organisations. Detailed qualitative evidence will be collected describing technology driven institutional change management approaches. Analyses will explore which of these approaches impact most upon e-learning capability, student support and staff success, and strategic and operational outcomes. The project will build on the existing success of the eMM within New Zealand higher education to develop models for promoting and supporting change in e-learning for the benefit of students, staff and institutions.

Stephen Marshall is running workshops about this project in Wellington (1st November) and Auckland (3rd November). There is no charge and all are welcome. Click on the links for more information and how to register.

Firstly, I would like to note the sad news that Dr Mark Laws, who was actively involved in the project, drowned over the Christmas/New Year break. Mark was a friend as well as colleague and will be missed.

Open workshops were held in Wellington and Auckland last week, giving attendees from a number of institutions the opportunity to engage with the challenges facing tertiary organisations changing to take advantage of technology. Both sessions were well attended and positively received.
