Manu-Ao is a Māori academic networking initiative, supported by Te Kahui Amokura (a Māori Standing Committee of the New Zealand Vice-Chancellors Committee), TEC, and in association with all eight New Zealand Universities. This website is designed to provide a forum for panui, academic information, and Māori academic dialogue. The initiative is intended to support a culture of Māori scholarship within participating institutions. Each institution will have the opportunity to extend its own development programmes for Māori staff and on the basis of what needs are identified.

This website resource is for managers, course designers, tutors, and support staff in small Tertiary Education Organisations who wish to embark on e-learning but are not quite sure where to start. It has a particular focus on supporting organisations with significant proportions of Māori and Pasifika learners
