This is a summary report produced by Ako Aotearoa from research into Codes of Practice for tertiary organisations and their NZ students. It brings together the research findings with examples of good practice and recommendations for the future.
The commissioned report assesses the nature and effectiveness of current Codes of Practice and similar agreements and outlines their implications for the relationships between tertiary organisations and learners.
The design crit is a key part of design and architectural education, which involves students publicly presenting their design projects in front of critics, usually from academia and design practice. Working with architecture and design students, this project tested the validity of new types of design crits with the aim of improving learner outcomes.
