Central Hub Projects in Progress
One form of support for project teams is a colloquium where each work in progress is described to the other project teams. Questions, answers, comments and debate follow each presentation.
Participants highly value the experience of these evaluations by their peers. Ideas are generated, issues advanced, solutions suggested and valuable contacts made.
On 9 November at Te papa seven project teams contributed to the colloquium. They were from universities, institutes of technology, polytechnics and private training enterprises. The topics were diverse, including; embedding literacy and numeracy, work-integrated learning, virtual reality in library design, and communities of practice.
The manager of Ako Aotearoa’s Northern Hub Ruth Peterson expertly drew together the day’s common themes, making some insightful comments and asking profound questions.
The outputs from these in-progress projects will be available on our website over the next six months. Browse the colloquium handbook at the link below to find out more about the projects and how they might assist you and your colleagues to improve the educational outcomes for your learners.
