New project: How and why lecturers use exemplars
The newest project to be funded through the Regional Hub Project Fund by the Northern Hub aims to explore how and why educators in a university faculty use exemplars. Dr Eleanor Hawe, Associate Professor Helen Dixon, and Dr Richard Hamilton, all from The University of Auckland, will interview educators on their use of exemplars, and observe teachers who use them with their students to find out how and why exemplars are used, and the issues and challenges associated with their use.
The members of the project team intend to share findings from the project through two workshops with a view to developing a group of practitioners who will continue to engage in reflection on exemplar use in their teaching, and the impact of this on student engagement and learning.
