Learning to teach online website
A free professional development resource to help teachers from any discipline, whether experienced in online teaching or not, gain a working understanding of successful online teaching pedagogies that they can apply in their own unique teaching situations.
Designed by COFA (College of Fine Arts) Online at the University of New South Wales, in association with the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC).
The site uses video and supporting PDF documents – organised into topic areas or ‘episodes’ – to enable teachers from different institutions and disciplines to talk about and share their experiences: discussing tips and strategies, and highlighting common pitfalls when using online tools in the classroom.
In each episode, key pedagogical issues are explored, with case studies demonstrating how different approaches and technologies are used in a variety of teaching situations. The topic areas covered are diverse; ranging from tutorials developed to support third year medical students, to tips for teachers on providing audio feedback for large classes.
Includes a supporting community forum.
