Nau mai haere mai - welcome
Mihimihi - Introductions
Welcome to our online community for participants from the workshops held in Wellington on 29th September and 1st and 2nd of October . I would also like to welcome those of you who, for whatever reason, were unable to attend the workshop on either of those days, please still free to participate.
As we demonstrated in the workshops, whanaungatanga is first and foremost in creating a teaching/learning space.
So please take the time to introduce yourself, your name, your role and name of your organisation and which workshop you attended (the Monday or the Thursday).
I will start as I am the only one to have been lucky enough to meet all of you who attended the two workshops.
My name is Bruce George. I am currently seconded to the He Taunga Waka project for two years. Prior to this I was a National Trainer before becoming the Curriculum Manager for Literacy Aotearoa. I have worked in Adult literacy and education for over 23 years as a Trainer, Educator and Learner. I have worked with learners across different levels from foundation to post graduate. I have also worked for Workbase and in the Corrections sector.
I really look forward to seeing what we can collaborate on and create in this space as we all work together to develop further our own professional practice.
