In 2012, the Ako Aotearoa Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence (the Academy) and the Central Regional Hub joined forces to deliver two free seminars on teaching excellence that proved to be so popular that many missed out.
The Central Hub works with the Adult and Community Education networks in the region each year to offer support for the activities they undertake during Adult Learners’ Week (ALW). This year we are involved in some very worthwhile events:
Ian Rowe, Central Hub operations manager caught up with two teachers following their professional development workshop experience. He finds out how their teaching has been influenced by the sessions and what they are doing differently in their teaching.
Debra Maddox, Learning Designer in the e-Learning Team at Universal College of Learning, Palmerston North, reports on the highlights of last week’s Learning Futures Symposium co-sponsored by Ako Aotearoa and DELFA at Massey University.
Ako Aotearoa Central Hub manager, Ian Rowe, spent a very energetic four-hour workshop session recently with an enthusiastic group of 15 teachers from the Universal College of Learning and four private training establishments.
