Six New Zealand tertiary institutions are engaged in a collaborative network of practice around learners and mobile devices, examining the ways in mobility, social media and new approaches to learning and teaching are changing the landscape of education. The project will generate a range of practical strategies for students, teachers and leaders to utilise the affordances of mobile devices for pedagogical transformation and empowering learners.

The project and its findings have the potential for application to other educational areas and institutions.

Improving Māori student success in health professional degree-level programmes. An examination will be undertaken of the ways in which non-lecture teaching and learning helps or hinders Māori success in degree-level education. This project also explores what ‘success’ means in health professional degree-level study from a Māori perspective.
