Val Diggle, Massey University
Val Diggle is a writer and visual artist, working as a Learning Advisor for Post-graduate students on the Wellington Campus of Massey University. She has over fifteen years experience as an academic, lecturing in Critical and Cultural studies in various colleges of Art and Design across the UK, and is currently putting together two creative projects – Lightwife, an audio, image and text work which is an imaginative response to the life of Mary Jane Bennett, the first lighthouse keeper in NZ, and The Loaning a hypertext verse novel (go to http://web.mac.com/coolerplanet for more information about these and other creative projects). She has a particular interest in creative process and has written about this in various academic journals, including the Journal of Writing in Creative Practice, an Intellect publication.
