In a tradition that began in 2014, a korowai (cloak) named Rauaroha is placed around the shoulders of the Prime Minister’s Award winner at each Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards dinner hosted by Ako Aotearoa.
A three-hour event featuring 5-10 minute presentations showcasing good teaching practice for South Island tertiary educators. Hosted by Ako Aotearoa’s Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence and Ako Aotearoa’s Southern Regional Hub. Supported by the University of Canterbury.
Spotlight on Tertiary Teaching and Learning is an event organised by the Ako Aotearoa Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence, in association with the Southern Hub of Ako Aotearoa. It is a regional symposium that celebrates the importance of teaching quality through the sharing of ideas, methods and techniques by which high quality teaching can be realised in practice.
