Missing Link: Finding Direct Evidence to Show a Connection Between a Staff Professional Development Strategy and Enhanced Educational Outcomes for all Learners
This project examines the relationship between a staff professional development strategy and enhanced learner outcomes. The staff development technique in question was comprised of a staff development festival day held at one tertiary organisation.
A case study is envisaged for this research, in order to identify the link between staff professional development and enhanced learner outcomes. In order to explore this link, in the context of a workshop staff will be asked to complete the following statement: "Staff professional development would be beneficial to my students if..." As such, the value of the professional development day will be discussed and elaborated from the perspective of the staff.
