Terms and Conditions for online purchasing through Ako Aotearoa
These Terms and Conditions refer to the rights and responsibilities associated with purchasing products, including event registrations, through the Ako Aotearoa website. They are made, and should be read in conjunction with the General Terms and Conditions of using the Ako Aotearoa website.

If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, we will provide a replacement upon its return. If the item is no longer available we will issue a credit or exchange the item. We cannot exchange items, or accept returns, for reasons other than if they are damaged or faulty. Choose carefully as we do not refund or exchange if you change your mind. If your purchase is in New Zealand and not for business purposes, Ako Aotearoa will meet its obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. All goods are priced in New Zealand dollars. For New Zealand delivery addresses, all prices are GST inclusive unless otherwise stated. Prices include the cost of postage and packaging for addresses within New Zealand.
All orders for dispatch to addresses outside New Zealand must be paid for by credit card.
From time to time Ako Aotearoa may offer special discounts. There are standard discounts for the purchase of five copies or more of one publication. These range from 5 per cent to 30 per cent.

Ako Aotearoa accepts Visa and MasterCard. All payments are securely processed through Massey University using BNZ Buyline.
When a credit card company is used for a purchase, Ako Aotearoa may obtain pre-approval from that company for an amount up to the amount of the purchase. Billing to your credit card will occur at the time of purchase or soon thereafter.
Only Tax Invoices issued by Massey University are valid for tax purposes.
Invoices are issued by Massey University and payment may be made direct to them by credit card, direct credit or bank transfer.If the invoice number is not referenced with the payment, Ako Aotearoa will not be responsible for any further delays in dispatch.
Within New Zealand, all goods are sent by standard post and have a delivery time of 2-5 working days. International orders are sent by airmail, or courier if you request this service. For international orders, delivery times vary depending on the destination, with 5-10 working days being the average.
Ako Aotearoa makes every effort to ensure that delivery timeframes given are accurate. By placing an order, you agree not to hold Ako Aotearoa liable for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with any delay or failure to deliver within the estimated time frame.
If Ako Aotearoa has misaddressed a product then Ako Aotearoa will be responsible for the re-delivery, replacement or refunding of the product. If you have given an incorrect or insufficient address, Ako Aotearoa will not refund or resend the product and you will bear all responsibility for correcting the delivery. For this reason, we encourage you to supply post codes with your address details.
In general, Ako Aotearoa publications can be inspected on line by downloading the publication concerned.
Registrations are required for all events. Events have a limited number of places. When all places have been filled, Ako Aotearoa may operate a ‘waiting list’ for people still wishing to attend. To ensure you secure a place, we recommend payment by credit card.
