The ‘good teaching’ project
This project will explore high achieving university students’ conceptions of ‘good teaching’ and ‘effective learning’ in lecture and tutorial settings, using focus group discussions, critical incident technique and photovoice.
Using complex case studies to teach law and accounting
This project funded through the Regional Hub Project fund will investigate the pedagogical properties of a number of commonly used case studies in law and accounting with a view to developing existing and new case studies that are well aligned with identifiable learning outcomes in the context of authentic (small and local) business that graduates in these disciplines are likely to work with.
Lecturing proficiency and effectiveness of New Zealand accounting and finance academics
The over-arching objective of this project was to improve accounting and finance academics’ teaching effectiveness that would enhance students’ learning outcomes.
