The Centre works with Departments and individuals who supports tudent learning in both academic and practice contexts in our subject areas. It is closely associated with the Subject Centre Network for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine through the  HEALTH Network Group (Higher Education Academy Learning & Teaching in Health).
The Subject Centres for Health Sciences & Practice and Medicine, Dentistry & Veterinary Medicine have been established as a single Advisory Board, which has steered the work of the two Centres since 2006, including the development of a common mission and strategic aims.
The Economics Network of the UK's Higher Education Academy provides publications and resources to support university teachers of economics. Resources include a Handbook for Economics Lecturers, case studies, teaching resources, journals, and more.
The centre enhances the education experience of students by communicating and disseminating ideas and promoting good practice and innovations in higher education teaching and learning. It acts as a hub of information and resources across academic communities in business, management, accountancy and finance.
The centre provides discipline based support for learning and teaching in the built environment subject communities of Architecture, Landscape, Urban Planning, Housing and Transport, Construction and Real Estate. Activity/ecouragement areas include: Teaching effectiveness, educational practices, innovative teaching, staff development and discipline based research.
The Centre supports a large network of learning and teaching practitioners involved in HE bioscience throughout the UK. It provides funding, events, resources and a large number of opportunities to network with bioscience learning and teaching practitioners from a variety of institutions and roles.
TLRP provides coordination for 700 researchers in some 70 project teams and almost 20 initiatives of cross-programme thematic analysis across the UK. TLRP represents a major opportunity for UK educational research in contributing new knowledge for the improvement of learning and the availability and quality of future educational research.
ESCalate produces and disseminates resources for staff and students in Higher Education and Further Education involved in Education Studies, Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning and Initial Teacher Education.
